I love zippers! Not necessarily the kind you can’t reach in the back of a dress that make you do a weird kind of dance that if anyone video taped said dance money could be won on America’s Funniest Home Videos or the kind that seem to break at the most inopportune time!
A year ago I saw a picture of a flower that was made from zipper and I fell in love. So I Googled and found a few tutorials and voila – zipper flowers! A few weeks ago I bought some beautiful zipper colors and created more lovely pins/brooches. I hope you love them too.
If you’d like to make a flower like those here, you can purchase zippers at any of the local fabric stores (or even Wal-Mart) and take them apart or you can find an online shop that sells zipper by the yard, which is what I usually do.You will be surprised by the varieties of colors your will find available. I prefer the zipper that has brass or silver teeth instead of the ones with the plastic teeth in the same color as the zipper material.
These zipper flowers look very nice. Thanks for sharing!
Those are just too cute! Were they hard to make? Now I will have to remember to get a bunch of metal zippers!
They are not hard to make…there are many tutorials online. If you can’t find anything that looks easy to follow let me know and I will gladly help.
Cute idea!
this is such creative crafty ! u got talent (and time) of course ๐
These are so adorable! I would like to make these. They are so unique and I can find a lot of interesting ways to use these!

My daughter is turning into a crafting wizard! She’ll love this especially for her junior honor society club who are making gifts for nursing homes right now. Thanks!
I love that your daughter’s junior honor society club does wonderful things like making gifts for nursing homes. What a kind heart!
Those zipper flowers are so darned cute!! I am not a real crafty person and never would have thought you could make something like that from zippers!!
wow these are very creative – I never would have thought of using a zipper to make a flower . They are really cute. I usually save zippers from old clothing and the junk stores have them for cheap to so this would be great. Im going to try to make one – wish me luck LOL
There are some really great tutorials online that you can find. Some are sewn and some are glued – I’ve done both, but prefer the gluing method. You will do great!
Oh my gosh, so cute! I have to try this.
