So, a few weeks ago I received an order (a big order considering I’m one person running this show) for 60 20’s style feather headpieces to be used in a team meeting for a local large company. I was asked to create 5 each of 12 different colors. And, I will be creating matching fabric bands to go around fedoras for the men.
Here is a collage of the headpieces…They have been so much fun to create (with the exception of my sewing room looking like there was a rainbow bird fight)!
And this is one of my favorites (I like several, but I am partial to this one).
I am very pleased with the feathers I purchased from FeatherStore.com. You can find their store here; their blog here; and find them on Facebook here. The quality of their feathers is so much better than what you can find at your local craft store. I did have an issue with them shipping the wrong item the first time (received boas instead of individual plumes, but they cleared it up right away! I will definitely buy from them again!

my daughter is in college, and they are having a 20s party. She asked me what she should wear on her head and I told her to take a look at your site and this page. Those are the cutest headbands that I have ever seen. Although I know it is hard work, your pocketbook will love it. I only hope that you were given sufficient notice in which to make these.
I was given quite a bit of notice, and just broke down the order to do a limited number per night and still work on other projects. Thanks for the compliment.
